History, wildlife, activity or relaxation the
Isle of Skye is a land of great contrast.
The scenery is majestic, from the drama of
the Cuillin Hills to the
picturesque villages and the rugged coast
line.
The association with Charles Edward Stuart,
Bonnie Prince Charlie, is widely known, but
the history of Skye spans many millennia.
Time stretches back from the present, to the crofts, the clan castles, the iron age brochs
and beyond.

For an active holiday Skye can offer so
much. From pony trekking to golf, water sports to rock climbing the choice is immense.
On a more relaxing note Skye offers
fascinating museums, exhibitions and shops for
you to visit.
You'll want to indulge yourself at one of the
fine restaurants in Skye, perhaps at the world
famous Three Chimneys in Glendale. A "wee
dram" of Talisker from the islands' only distillery
would round the meal off nicely.
A holiday in Skye wouldn't be complete without
the opportunity to view the wildlife. There are
boat trips available to view the seals but if you prefer
dry land you can watch some of the many
species of birds, including the golden eagle at
Niest Point. With so much to see and do make sure you've
time to fit it all in.
